Dynamically binding a Crystal report to IDS

Anyone out there have experience dynamically binding a Crystal report to an Informix database, preferably with a .Net app? Currently I am reassigning the report object LoginInfo.ConnectionInfo.DatabaseName property as the known database name, and LoginInfo.ConnectionInfo.ServerName as the known instance name (eg ol_ifx_svr) This throws an exception. I can also not see a property to which to assign the Host machine name, because clearly the report will need to know what that is in order to connect. I'd appreciate any assistance others can give, because at the moment I'm a bit stumped and information on this is a little sparse, to say the least.
