Hello, I installed the last version of Informix Warehouse Accelerator. To run the ondwa commands as user informix, I followed the following steps : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v117/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm .acc.doc%2Fids_acc_611.htm But, I have to restart my Linux server to run the ondwa commands as user informix, otherwise, it does not work. Can you avoid to restart the Linux server ? If yes, how to do ? Hi, not sure, why you would have to restart the Linux machine in order to run the "ondwa" commands as user "informix". Can you explain? At the moment, my only guess is, that you think about restarting the Linux server because of the required (hard) limits settings, that we recommend having set when running "ondwa" as user "informix" ... These limits settings are a shell property. As such they can be changed without restarting the machine: First change to user "root", i.e. run a shell as user "root". Being user "root", you can now change the limits settings as required, including the hard limits. Without leaving the shell where the limits settings were changed, change to user "informix". User "informix" will now have 'inherited' the shell settings previously set by user "root". Now you can safely run the "ondwa" commands as user "informix" with the recommended limits settings. Hi Martin, Thank you for your answer and your precisions for the steps. Indeed, too me, it was surprising that I would have to restart the Linux machine. With your answer, I think I made a mistake during my first installation of Informix Warehouse Accelerator. I'm going to try again with your precisions.
