Re: passing row types by reference

Hi Extended Data Types, ie. Row Types (named, unnamed) and Collection Types (set, multiset, list) are passed by value. At the external SQL layer, there isn't a REFERENCES implementation for extended data types. Internally, selecting a column of a row type or constructing a row type value, will generate an in-memory materialized representation of that row and that gets passed to a procedure (sometimes involving an explicit or implicit cast). thanks. I would like to know how I can pass a row type as a parameter of a procedure by reference and not by value. I have probe with the REFERENCES keyword but its only to simple large objets. Thanks a lot. sending to informix-list
