Is there? Isn't there a ppt slideshow with notes stating Informix benchmarks for May '03? -Chris "Fozzie The Bear" <sorry@no.com>@iiug.org on 06/09/2003 12:22:21 AM Please respond to "Fozzie The Bear" <sorry@no.com> Sent by: owner-informix-list@iiug.org To: informix-list@iiug.org cc: Subject: IBM Informix IDS Benchmarking. Hi, So what's the story with IBM and TCO. I know the whole game is a silly PC vs. MAC contest and that its all about what works for you but.... There seems to be a push on for DB2 benchmarks from recent review of tpc.org although SQL Server seems to just beat the posted mark 10 days later. The Qn. is why don't IBM Benchmark IDS / XPS against ee / 8.1 (and all other databases for that matter)? Is IBM Informix Dynamic Server really that much of a DB2 UDB trouncing product? I'm sure everyone here thinks a context switch is quicker, is it? And what about Informix on S390? Isn't there a ppt slideshow with notes stating Informix benchmarks for May '03?
