When I try to use ESQL/C on our Linux machine running Informix SE, I get the following error: Cannot open file 'csql.iem'. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance. -- Mr. Rajendra Singh, B. Sc. (rajsingh@hotmail.com) "What is understood need not be discussed." - Loren Adams

Are you using the ClientSDK version of ESQL/C? That would expect to have the csql.iem file available to it -- and it would not be in the INFORMIXDIR provided with SE. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>

If you have already installed the ClientSDK, check in $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333 for the csql.iem file. If it does not exist, reinstall the ClientSDK. If the file exists, the problem is most likely in your environment. Good luck.
