Hi All, We have huge table that will save old data into that table. How should i fragment that table so that it will have any bottleneck on the DB?
Oo0, too much information... How about some more details? IOn general, fragment on some column that lets you control the distribution of data or to easily add a new fragment to contain new historical data and to drop the oldest one when the data is no longer needed. You can use dbschema -d <dbname> -hd <tabname> to get an idea of how to
fragment the table. The dbschema command will provide distribution data for
the table and how accurate said data is based on your update stats commands.
There is good information available in the online doc regarding the output
from this command and its interpretation.
