Oh? How come no-one is hearing about them? I'd have thought IBM would be shouting from the rooftops about successful migrations where DB2 was trouncing IDS. FH: How would I know? However, from my IIUG Board experience trying to get Informix references for IBM, I know it is difficult to get large accounts to speak publicly. > That some companies have had difficulties migrating application suites > from IDS to DB2, it is a fact. I can't argue with that. :o) FH: Amazing! > IBM has said that it continues to work on bringing IDS, XPS and RedBrick > features into DB2. That isn't easy work either and it takes time. And if you > want more detail on the DB2 plan, work with IIUG to obtain the specifics. Oh. Am I not allowed to ask IBM direct? FH: Of course you may. But I advocate to the group to work with IIUG for a stronger front. The IIUG Board has been running with an initiative to make DB2 engineering futures more public to Informix fans. sending to informix-list
