RE: holding window open in 4gl

The only thing I can think of, is to make the window you want to keep displayed the 'main' window. Display it first in the background, and then have all subsequent windows a smaller size, so that they do not overlap the first window. Of course this restricts the shape of the background window to be a rectangular box at the top or bottom of the screen.
