Anyone willing to share, Every three years my company replaces hardware and OS. Currently we are running Informix on AIX, my Boss has asked me to chat everyone up about what other company's use for Hardware, OS, and Disk when using Informix... So I would ask the following questions of anyone that has the time. Size of your Company? Employees: ~1000 Revenue (Not profit): ~4Billion What Hardware and OS do you us? Hardware: IBM P570 CPU Count: 8 RAM: 12G OS: AIX 5.3 What Disk Storage? Hardware: IBM DS4500 RAID Level: 10 (if it isn't Art will be talking to you later) What Version of Informix? IDS 9.40.FC8 What is the Size of the Database(s)? 300G What Other Informix Tools? 4gl 7.32.FC2 If I get enough replies I will share the results with the community. So email me directly or share through the news group. Thank you for any and all information, Eric B. Rowell
