Work for Informix Database Programmer (not 4GL) UK

I have a client who has a need for some Informix Database Development skills (Perform/Ace/ISQL), either on short term contract or ad-hoc / to suite. REQUIREMENT The requirement is to add some additional reporting options and poss some forms and scripts to a newly aquired financial package (currently off line) using version x.x under SCO Unix. The client is in Oxfordshire and work would generally be carried out at the clients site although there may be an option of working from your home initially (machine provided) with the client popping in from time to time to give instruction and check progress. Some of the requirements were already in existence written in Informix 3.3 and these are available for reference (although obviously the new financial system has different data structures). There will be a requirement to attend the offices of the systems supplier to be shown data structures and be given an overview of the processing. (2 days) TIMESCALE The client is anxious to move ahead asap. DURATION We suspect initially to require 4-5 weeks of work getting the core reports etc. developed, this could be 4-5 weeks straight, 1 week a month, 2-3 days a week or whatever, it may even be an option to work evenings and weekends. Following this there will continue to be an ad-hoc requirement of maybe 1 or 2 days a month which may continue indefinately. Some basic knowledge of accounting and or order processing systems would be useful although not essential.
