Delphi and Powerbuilder are not "easy for a non-programmer to use" and Delphi in particular doesn' excel at ad-hoc reporting (it uses a seperate Crystal-reports-like thing, called "ReportSmith") I suggest you take a look at Crystal Reports for the reporting stuff, it sounds very much like what you are after. They also have a new product (maybe called "Crystal Info"?) for the SQL side of things. >VPPRO is Informix' Edsel.
