Guru's We have a table that contains manuals , The fields are man_ name (char), page_number (int) and scanned_page (byte). Each page of a manual is in its own row. Is there an easy way of joining the pages together and inserting the complete manual into a blob space, We are on Informix 10.00 on a Solaris box Thanks
There are a number of Linux utilities that can merge multiple scanned images into a single document. Check out www.pdfsam.org, AFAIK its around $20 and worth every cent Cheers Paul > Guru's > > We have a table that contains manuals , The fields are man_ name (char), > page_number (int) and scanned_page (byte). Thanks for the suggestion. Security will not allow third party software on Sun systems. The manuals/pages were migrated from the old 7.31 environment. The pages occupy around 5 TB of the instance
Unload to disk, copy to Linux :)
