Check your NETTYPE settings, first guess would be the connection is
configured to a max of 50

My company has Informix OnLine 7.0.2 (I believe) running on SCO UNIX
Openserver 5. The server is a dual PII 400 with 256 meg of RAM. Whenever
we
get around 50 connections to the database, we are no longer able to start up
any new applications that access the database. At first I thought it was a
license restraint, but Informix tech support told us that their database
didn't do any kind of user checking. This leads me to believe that we are
running out of resources on the server, or there is something that needs to
be readjusted in the onconfig file. Below is the error that we receive when
we have the maximum users connected to Informix and somebody else tries to
open a connection.
25588: The appl process cannot connect to OnLine server altec1_online
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
