Re: FourGen/Informix 5.03 Performance Problems

Our database is distributed accross 9 nodes, each node has an Idendical database with 75 tables and the same application. We have approx 5000 users accessing the same application. The application is a (time and attendance) and labor charging system for 10,000 employees and is written in 4gl and fourgen. When we fist implemented the app the application took minutes to load and run. After compiling the main module of the app to a .4ge the response decreased to sec. A .4ge is loaded into memory once for every user to use where a .4gi is loaded for each user.Compiling improved performance greatly.
