Hi All, I'm not sure of what area to post this question so I am starting here. We are trying to solve a performance issue. The current situation is as follows. We are upgrading hardware on for the Solaris/Informix server components. we are seeing 2x to 4x improvements in all database testing of procedure and sql execution. However when using an application built on PowerBuilder we do not see any improvement and we see some degradation. There is a thought that there may be some network setting, packet size things to look at. Also there may be some client side things to look at. we use setnet32 so I am wondering if anyone out there can share their experience with any of these issues that could be resolved by changing settings. Please let me know what other information I can pass on in hopes of getting so help.
You've migrated your engine to new hardware, but the client equipment has not changed, right? What version is the Informix engine and did you run update statistics after the migration (if you did a migration)?
