High Performace Loader - onpladm

I have
inherited a Document Management system but no supporting documentation !!
There are various tables in the database but the current problem is
specifically with 1 huge table that contains 13 varchar, date, decimal and
integer fields and 1 blob field. Users are getting locking errors on the
fragmented index when trying to insert a new document into the database.
What I am trying to do is rebuild the table on my new test server so that I
can drop and re-create the index (I have been led to believe this could take
hours or even days so wish to try in a development environment before trying
on the live database).
LOAD takes ages and although I have turned logging off on the offending
database, but as the blobs are stored in sbspaces, the metadata is always
logged.
I thought I would try using the high performance loader - onpladm. I created a
project, a device array and a fastloadjob, ran the job only to be told 'Tables
with BLOBS or extended types cannot be loaded in Express Mode'. Next I changed
the job to be loadjob rather than fastloadjob (a conversion job) but then I
need to define maps and format objects. P17-42 in the High Performance Loader
User Guide lists the required syntax for defining a format but it is not clear
what I need to set the compulsory attributes to.
Can anyone help me with defining the required format for onpladm ?
Is there any other way to easily get the data in this 1 table onto another
server ?

I have now imported the data using IPLOAD with the exception of the BLOB field. Using IPLOAD the entry in the formatitem table for the blob field had a value of 42 (etx type string) in the ftype field. This did then not allow me to match the column in the load file with the column in the database. I updated the entry to have an ftype value of 35 (blob file). So my problem now is how do I load BLOBs using IPLOAD ?
