Don't know about support pricing, but new licence pricing certainly had changed the last time I asked for a price (5 users IDS Workgroup). It took over 2 weeks to get a quote from IBM, and it was 50% more expensive than from Informix, not to mention horribly complicated. This was in November this year. My company is now seriously looking at alternative RDBMS. Sarky comment follows However I'm not surprised. We have a state of the art passenger information system, using GPRS, GPS, WAP and the Web to get real time info on buses to bus stops, mobile phones PCs and so on. Developed from scratch in the last 4 years, using IDS as the database. Been on Radio 4, support from Mayor Ken, running in several cities. Why on earth would Informix want to deal with us?
