The version that comes with esql/c for Windows NT can simply be installed directly on Windows 95. As there is no I-Net for Windows 95 that is supported from Informix there is also, as far as I know, no ODBC drivers from anyone that can use 32 bit I-Net under Windows 95 (may be some Windows NT ODBC driver could do this, but I wouldn't even bother to try). .. snip of platform info... > I have spoken to a number of people at Informix and they have not been able to answer > my questions. If you want to use a product that comes from Informix or others that need I-Net and can't work with ODBC (like NewEra in development mode) you are in for some significant trouble - and Informix... Dear Informix: This gets worse and worse. Someone - one single individual - at Informix should now take it on him or herself to inform your sales and support organisation about some basic real life things. Why do you do this to yourself? People keep asking in this newsgroup about ODCB drivers. Many of them seems to have talked to Informix first and gotten nowhere. In the meantime for everybody that asks - check out the following drivers: OpenLink - http://www.openlinksw.com SQL Retriever - http://www.sco.com (or something like http://www.visionware.co.uk or perhaps visionware.com i think). Both of these have server based ODBC drivers for a large number of platforms and database engines and have clients for all versions of MS Windows, 16 and 32 bit. There are others, but the likes of Visigenic, Intersolve and whoever else rely on I-Net for connectivity to Informix isn't realy interesting at the time. (Visigenic seem to be working on a server based ODBC driver, but the above two companies have been doing this for a long time so why on earth wait for Visigenic.)
