I think it is very difficult and you are heading for big problems. For a start NewEra is an object orientated programming language allowing you to build reusable easily maintainable code. By using "cutting and pasting from the old code" you are not using any of the OO features available. Your project will rapidly degenerate into an unmanageable mess. Secondly NewEra is pretty useless running under Windows 3.11 with major resource problems. I would strongly recommend you use Windows 95. Future development of NewEra will be v3 of the product which will not run under 3.11. The approach you should take is to build a framework class library first. This will give you easily maintainable reusable objects. Then you will be able to use these to reproduce the functionality of your existing system. Once written your framework will be able to be used for future projects. Any modifications to the framework will be replicated throughout your project making maintenance far easier. Remember with Object Orientated programming is a totally different approach to the structured one used with 4GL. Ian.
