ODBC, INFROMIX, CLIENT-SERVER, etc.

Hi! I'm student of 5th year of Technical University in Gdansk (Poland). My examination for the obtention of a master's degree is coming soon. I'm working on "a problem of cooperation and use an heterogeneous aplications in distributed systems" (->databases). It is very difficult to find any proffesional materials.
