Not really. The only possibility would be to restore the server from archive and NOT roll forward the logical logs all the way (ie stop at some logical log number prior to the DB having been dropped. So that you do not lose data from other databases (if you have any) and for ultimate safety take another archive level 0 before starting the restore of the older archive. Another option, if you have IDS 9.40 or later (always a good idea to post your version and platform information here, BTW) you should be able to extract the data from the tables on the archive using archecker and restore the data to a new empty database if you can recreate the schema. If you do not have an archive, you MAY be out of luck. Art S. Various options:
- restore from archive onto a different instance, rolling back the logs to
prior to dropping the database, then dbexport and dbimport onto production
- use archecker
- if you are really, really, really desperate, assuming that you haven't
done any other activity on the instance, for a (hefty) fee, tech support can
dialin, find the dropped database systables partition, reattach it to
sysmaster:sysdatabases, and from there rescue all the other tables and fix
all the chunk free list pages
that's assuming that your engine is online 5 / ODS / IDS. for SE, that's a
completely different story...
