Is this a one time operation or an ongoing operation? If it is a one time operation then I'd suggest an unload/reload using the easiest tools available. That might involve writing a program and/or using scripts to format the data. But if this is an ongoing operation, then I'd suggest using CDC - which is purchased from IBM. They want to extract data from Informix Databases to SQL Server, working on the data and put them back to Informix. They tried to use ODBC and OLEDB connection what seems rather slow. What do you suggest here? - Unload and load via files - HPL - External tables - Programming with C, or C# - Who has expierence with the topic and would share it. Any help is appreciated.
