This may be platform dependent. We run on Data General which supports
RAID tape arrays we use a five tape drive RAID 5 array which can hold
up to 160GB with compression. Since not all data compresses to 50% we
set TAPESIZE to values between 100000000 and 120000000 depending on how
much of the data on the particular server is binary -vs- text. This
works fine.
