Informix 11.50.FC6 issue

Informix gurus, We just upgraded to HPUX 11i v3 and Informix 11.50.FC6 on our D/R HP 9000 (rp7410) PA-RISC system. We get our Informix software and maintenance through our vendor Jenzabar. They deliver it to us in a SMO (System Maintenance Order). The HPUX upgrade portion was pretty straight forward and the same for the Informix upgrade. However, after the upgrade we get shared library errors like the one below when running sacego or any of the other Jenzabar / Informix scripts. /usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /usr/lib/libcur_colr.1 /usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory I've been working with Jenzabar support and getting input from other school DBA's or Administrators. After doing some research on the Internet and others, it looks like all the Informix libraries need to be re-linked to the correct libraries. Jonathon Wyza showed me the following article about the above library depreciated and not available in HPUX 11i v3. http://h21007.www2.hp.com/portal/download/files/unprot/STK/HPUX_STK/impa cts/i964.html We initially thought it was the Jenzabar scripts but I even get the error when running sacego on a demo report from a newly created database. It actually looks like they did not upgrade your ISQL version to one that's compatible with HPUX 11. Also, you should no longer be linking the Informix libraries into /usr/lib that practice was deprecated in 7.31/9.30 long ago. You can delete whatever informix libraries you have in /usr/lib and set the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to $INFORMIXDIR/lib:$INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql:$INFORMIXDIR/lib/tools:/usr/lib making sure that /usr/lib is last in the list. If you have to reinstall ISQL, you will have to take the Informix engine offline, install ISQL, then reinstall the CSDK and the engine. There are still some library dependencies in ISQL that will cause the engine to have problems if it is not installed after ISQL. The libraries that ISQL installs have the same name as those installed by the engine, but are older versions and not completely compatible. The ones installed by the engine are backward compatible with the ISQL, however. Art Art S.
