It could be a permissions problems, the network interface is invalid, the root chunk could not be found, etc... You will need to check in the online log file to determine a possible cause. Also --- sometimes the failure will occure before oninit can get to the message log file. You can do "oninit -v" to get more information. This will cause a series of messages to be displayed indicating the various steps that oninit is going through during it's start up. Sometimes the last message will be an indication where the "problem" spot was. Madison Pruet
