Greetings I understand that Informix DSA (aka Dynamic Server Versions 6,7,8) benchs are in the mill. There's no point in talking out of school, but we're making bullish marketing claims which, I'm willing to say, are backed up in reality. Informix, IBM and now Sybase all publish TPC-Cs as worthwhile measures, with the advent of TPC-D we'll also be able to measure the significance of DSA for combining OLTP with OLCP ('c' is for complex..ah...whatever..it's another abbrev.) Also, Version 7 PDQ will be on a range of platforms by year end. Also note that our PDQ facility is built into the architecture of the server, it's not a tacked on, extra cost, option. Note that Informix has a competitive assessment lab, there is a paper comparing Brand O V7.x with DSA, the local Informix office should be able to discuss this with you. Also, HP and Version 5 OnLine currently hold the best TPC-C results for cost/performance.
