Log. Log Backup: How full is tape?

Dear Informix experts, in our Online 5.07UC1 system, we have continuous backup of logical logs turned on. Full logical logs are written to a DC6525 tape, which should be able to hold lots of logs, but will be full sometime. How can I find out how full that tape already is? Will tbtape give me a warning early enough, or do I have to worry about the tape becoming full on a friday evening, blocking the whole system until monday morning when I come back to work?
