Please comment. Hi, We have some extremely active tables that we re-index nightly. If we do NOT then performance drops off within a few days. We have found that update statistics is very important, but page spilts will eventually cause the index trees to brach many levels down. Recreating the clustered index will fix this problem since it forces a rebuild on all non-clustered indices.
