OnBar/DLT (was Logical Logs to Disk?)
Answered: red (solid confidence) — The specific ask (practical experience running onbar with HP Omniback as the storage manager) is not answered; the reply only points to FAQ coverage of a different combination (onbar + Legato Networker) and asks for volunteers to document Omniback.
Advisory only.

I've seen several things in the Deja News archives that mention using onbar
with a storage manager, specifically HP Omniback. I'm getting ready to
implement that at my site, but have seen nothing specific. Beyond what the
manuals say, is there anything from the folks that have done this before
that might qualify as an entry in the FAQ?
Thanks,
David

Just added to the latest version of the FAQ which is an alpha release
at the moment, so it's just at my Web page only..See Appendix Q for
OnBar + Legato Networker.
I'd like someone to do
- OnBar + ISM (which my clients are crying out for..)
simple guide to replacing ontape -c for continuous logging to a
tape device but automated...
simple guide to automating level 0/1 archives to a single tape
device.
I'd do this myself but I don't have a machine running 7.30 to play
with as our development machine only runs SE 7.1!! Grrr! For a
decent job.. or would someone lend me a Sun with Online 7.3x to play
with??? Those Linux kernel hackers get hardware so easy ...Mumble..
Mumble... I can't even get 7.30.UC5 for Linux as my downloads keep
timing out ..Mumble ..Mumble ...Ramble ..Howl.. How can I get
anywhere without a decent setup to play with.. Aaarrgh! [And frantic
sounds of axes between thown into walls/chainsaws going off...Oh
Well back to the FAQ, expect a fresh upload sometime ~1-2AM GMT
tonight..
- OnBar + HP Omniback
- Recovery using Onbar
- Onbar + jukeboxs/autoloaders
