INFORMIX ONLINE startup time

hello I want to know which parameter have influence at the startup time (normal oninit, no oninit -i) from informix online (7.24 or higher). Is this based only on the volume of the logical log and the number OFF_RECVRY_THREADS or are there other parameters ? thank you for your help best regards martin eMail: martin.sambor@siemens.at

Startup time is affected by the number of VPs that are started (CPU, AIO, NET, plus the overhead VPs), the size and number of shared memory segments, the time it takes for each of the VPs to connect to shared memory, and the amount of recovery required if the engine was not brought down gracefully. This varies from platform to platform. Shared memory size is in turn affected by the ONCONFIG parameters: BUFFERS LOCKS PHYSBUFFLOGSBUFF SHMVIRTSIZ LRUSand a few more minor others including the number of configured shared memory connections and aliases.
