[Q] Data type for text data?

Hi, everyone~~ I am using IUS and Web DataBlade. I need data type that can hold text data whose size are at least 8KB. I couldn't use CLOB because it has only file I/O functions. I need a assignment operator which assigns a text entered by the users in web page to a field. Also, I couldn't use lvarchar because its size is limited to 2KB.
