Using INTERVAL datatype to calculate payrate

I am attempting to use 4GL 4.1 to accumulate the values of a DATETIME HOUR TO MINUTE variable and then multiply that value by a rate of pay (i.e. $10.50) to obtain a weekly salary. Currently, I see no way to mutliply the payrate by the interval in time to obtain the salary. Could someone out there please offer any help? Thanks in advance... David
