Good morning I upgraded from IDS 9.40.FC6 to IDS 11.50.FC3 in Solaris 10. The engine is working fine but in the online.log presented the following message. 09:12:49 Logical Log 195316 Complete, timestamp: 0x447d269e. 09:12:49 SCHAPI: Error -7530 Missing parenthesis in the signature specified for user-defined routine lookup 09:12:49 SCHAPI: Type: TASK, Name: post_alarm_message, Location: NULL. 09:12:49 SCHAPI: Type: TASK, Name: post_alarm_message, Error Message: Unable to find function[ procedure ph_dbs_alert ] . Anyone knows how to do to fix the problem. Thank a lot regards Servio Velasco
Hello, Servio. I believe there´s something "un-upgraded" on your sysadmin structure. To reconstruct it correctly, according to the 11.50 structure, follow the guide: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/blogs/page/idsteam?entry=rebuild_sysadmin_data base_manually_without Regards. I fixed the problem. I used the definition of the ph_dbs_alert in
db_install.sql
create function informix.ph_dbs_alert(informix.integer, informix.integer,
informix.pointer)
returns informix.integer
external name '(ph_dbs_alert)'
language C;
And the message in the online.log is not presented.
But I have a question.
Can I recreate "sysadmin" with the users are working?
I looked the url
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/blogs/page/idsteam?tag=rebuild. But The
document does not say if this procedure can using with the users connected.

To re-create the sysadmin database do the following.
As user informix:
dbaccess sysadmin -
execute function task("reset sysadmin") ;
Optionally you can add a dbspace in which sysadmin will reside instead
of the rootdbs
execute function task("reset sysadmin", "new_dbspace")
