A New Brand from IBM

For those of you who care about these things I thought I'd share an observation from a recent seminar I attended at IBM UK. They have started referring to the "Information Management" Brand. OK they pronounce it DB2 but it is a start in the recognition of Informix. Also they even mentioned Informix is a few of the presentations. What was a pity was that in two days of seminars on IBM software group products there wasn't even one presentation on Informix. Maybe one day they will acknowledge that Informix had the best technology. They even tried to tell me that DB2 was more scalable than Informix, but when I quoted XPS at them they said they had transferred that technology to DB2. Whatever next!
