Insurance software (again)

Hi everyone! Sorry to distub you again, but I still can't find a good insurance application based on Informix. I'll give you more backround informations, hoping it will help. I work for a computer company in Romania, an owned subsidiary of an Texas company (I don't give names so you won't accuse me for doing free advertising :-) As ICL-Fujitsu Partners and members of Microsoft Developers Network we deliver a range of solutions (mostly for manufacturing and retail), based on UNIX, Novell, Windows NT, Informix, MAX, TeamWARE, Sandmar etc. Recently we were contacted by an insurance company from Moldova who wants to implement a computerized system. I'll outline below a few points about them and their needs: Types of insurance: all major types (life, casualty, property, green card etc.) Insurance contracts in 1997: aprox. ten thousand and they expect a substantial growth in 1998 and 1999. Structure of company: one central site, five regional offices and aprox. 40. local offices. Communications: the phone lines in that country are not very good at this time, so a permanent on-line connection it's not a very safe solution (we expect this situation to change in 1 or 2 years). Our suggestion: all the primary data will be stored in the local offices' workstations and transmitted for processing to the central office during the night. Hardware platform: One Fujitsu server (C class or higher probably), Value Plus and Ergo Pro workstations. Preferred OS: Windows NT server (UNIX not excluded) / Windows 95 clients. Preferred database: Informix on server / Microsoft Access on clients (other solutions not excluded) Our client would prefer an out-of-the box system which will do all the insurance related operations: policy input, claims processing, risk calculations, data transmission from and to the remote local offices and everything else an insurance company needs. Or a turn-key solution for the back-end, since the remote front-end application can be easily developed by us. I hope this mail gave you an idea about what we need. We will appreciate any suggestions about products and companies which could help us.
