Measuring CPU and I/O

Greetings, I would like to assess the CPU and I/O "cost" - in milliseconds - of Informix SQL Inserts, Selects, etc under AIX. Does anyone know of an accurate way to do this ? Or am I stuck with calculating the penalty from vmstat/iostat ? Cheers John
