Is there a shapefile to informix geodetic datablade loader?

I know of the loadshp utility to load the ESRI shapefile format into Informix Spatial, but I want to work with Informix Geodetic. Does anyone know of a loader (or sample java code) to load a shapefile into the geodetic datablade product? I'm new to the Informix system, and it looks like I can't do a spatial intersection between features in Informix spatial and features in the geodetic datablade. If this is not correct, I'd appreciate a comment to the contrary. Alternatively, if there are any good URLs that detail transferring/converting informix spatial objects to the geodetic side that would be very helpful. Thanks, Ken
