Problem with memory allocatation

Hi All, Can anybody please help me with the memory segments in Informix. My server keep on adding memory segments ( atleast two segments / day ) while the number of users or sessions does not increase. Onstat -g mem shows that the global pool is the biggest usage. What is this global pool. Also I tried onmode -F to free some segment but it is not working. The statistics are as follows. 1. ( Onstat -g seg ).
