Only the trivial ones, ie no two fragments of the same table/index can reside in the same dbspace and fragments cannot reside in temp dbspaces. Beyond that the sky is the limit. The engine is limited to 2047 dbspaces and 2047 chunks total so the physical limit with 2GB chunks is a 4TB table with 2047 2GB fragments, or using maximum fragments (32GB on a 2K pagesize system or 64 GB on a 4K page system or 16MM pages) that would be 127 fragments of 16million pages each and one 30GB fragment. (Actually I think that 4K page systems can hold 4095 chunks and dbspaces, but I'm not sure of that.) Nuff said? Art S. Kagel
