Not a technical thread at all. It starts as an off-topic advert for a Belgian DJ website posted to the Informix newsgroup, and the regulars respond with jokes rather than complaints — riffing on the typo "Belguim", then drifting into a long banter about Australian cheese (King Island, a Tasmanian cheddar winning a world title), Australian wine, and a Monty Python sketch reference. No Informix problem is raised and nothing is resolved; there is nothing here of technical value to open the thread for.

There is a new site from the greatest djs of Belguim on: http://start.at/djs

I assume he means "Belgium", and I didn't even know Belgium had any.
"The great djs of Belguim" (sic)? Does this come from the same slim volume as, for example, "The Great Cheeses of Australia"?

March 28, 2000 - "Tasmanian Cheddar Named World Champion Cheese" http://www.wischeesemakersassn.org/contest/2000/news.asp#winners LOL Brett Randall P.S. While you're tasting the cheese, we have the world's best wine too!
I lived in Australia for three years from 1988 to 1991, Brett, and whilst I might agree with you about the high quality of the wines, the cheese was pants. Basically, the choice was Coon or mild cheddar! For my 30th birthday my (aggresively proud Australian) flatmate imported foreign cheeses especially such was her shame at the indigenous product. Maybe things have moved on since? And I'm sorry mate, no cheddar, no matter how good, can be "World Champion Cheese". It would be like saying "<whatever brand> Lambrusco is voted World Champion Wine". It just can't happen, it's against nature. Aussie wines have come a very long way since the 60's. Anyway, isn't this the wrong newsgroup for a reference to MP? I understood it's been commandeered by another language group.

While you're tasting the cheese, we have the world's best wine too! Them's fighting words....

With respect, your flatmate may have been looking in the cool-section of the local supermarket, where you will almost certainly get cheese that is not even good for pizza. <shameless export plug> http://www.kidairy.com.au/ </shameless export plug> > And I'm sorry mate, no cheddar, no matter how good, can be "World Champion > Cheese". Lots of people like them though. For me - a King Island Admiralty Blue with a glass of the '96 Penfolds St Henri Shiraz ( http://www.penfolds.com.au/range/bottles/4.55.2.html ).
