You can add the new (since 7.21) keepalive option the the sqlhosts line for the server on both the server side. (I think it is ',keep=1' after the service but I do not have time to check it out now. Checkout the 7.30 manuals that are online at the Informix WEB Site if you do not have 7.23 manuals or the CD. The feature is definitely in 7.23 and the syntax is the same in 7.30. Art S. Kagel
