When I installed Informix 7.23 on Solaris, I got the following Error : SQL statement error number -369. Invalid serial number. Please consult your installation instructions. I re-installed, and still got it. The INFORMIXDIR value is set correctly. When I checked the .snfile, there was multiple entries for the Connect & Online Serial numbers, so I deleted all but the last entry for each. Any suggestions as to what else could be causing this Error ?? Thanks Dara
How did you install it? Either you had an incorrect serial number and key combination (which would be reported as an error during the install) or you never go to supply them and therefore never installed the product properly. Did you simply extract the software off the tape (CD), or did you also run the ./installXYZ script (as root)?
