We had a similar problem on an 7.x version when we recovered back to a
level 0 archive. As it turns out the database had errors (index
inconsistencies) before the backup was taken. We ran an oncheck (your
version would be tbcheck) and fixed the inconsistencies on the
database we were backing up. After this the problem no longer existed
in the restore.
