Error trying a backup with ontape

Hi all, I'm supporting a pretty old instance in SOLARIS 9 and IDS 9.40FC6 I received this error when I tried to execute a backup with ontape "Archive failed - access sysmaster database (SQL:-229 ISAM:-155)" I also tried to do a dbexport and same error comes out Is there any chance to fix something? or Is Restoring the only solution? Thanks in advance!
