deadlock question

Hi All, Someone asked me to verify if a deadlock occured during a particular date. I would like to know if there's a way to select it from the catalog tables (if a deadlock occured)... I didn't find anything from the online.log... Best regards,
You *might* catch it with the ALARMPROGRAM script. Look at severity=1 and scan the additional_text field (4th parameter) for something about deadlock. That's where I found I could catch the "dynamically allocated locks" messages and email a warning to myself. Response:
I don't know of anything that tracks deadlocks by a particular date. However,
there are counters of deadlock occurrences in sysmaster:sysprofile.deadlks
(instance level) and in sysmaster:sysptprof.deadlks (table/index partition
level). These counters are reset when the instance is started or if an onstat
-z is done.
Thank you guys..i'll try to check from the mentioned tables.
