Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I installed IDS 11.5 on Linux EL5. I found there are a lot of oninit
processes(219 processes). Is it normal?
[root@apblxs02 ~]# ps -ef|grep oninit|wc -l
219

Hi.
You may be hitting a known defect that is being fixed.
Run 'onstat -g glo' and see if most of the VPs are in the AIO class. If=
so,
then bring down the engine, modify the ONCONFIG for AIO to 2 or higher,=
and
restart the engine.
VPCLASS aio,num=3D2
Thanks. Davis.

Hi,
sounds a bit high.
But it depends on your configuration, which apparently
is so that you have all these.
To find out more start with e.g. "onstat -g sch" which will
tell you of what kind (VP type) these many processes
are, and which ones are possibly just "hanging around" ...
Regards,
Martin
