Problem with ERM

OS: DEC UNIX 4.0D IDS: 7.30 I have a problem getting the Replication Monitor side of IECC to work. The problem appears to be getting the Informix sub-agent to connect to Digital's esnmp master agent. Looking at the onsnmp.*.log files I see messages like: 'smux: connection refused.' The smux service is defined in /etc/services on port 199, but when I check with 'netstat -a', I can see no process listening on this port. Looking through Digital's documentation I can find no reference to this service other than in some older 'gated' documentation. My question is: Has anyone got the snmp connection working with the Digital esnmp (is there an undocumented entry for snmpd.conf for example), or do I need to switch to a different smux enabled snmpd?
