gcc and Informix-4GL

Howdy, everyone. Has anyone out there configured their system to use gcc as the C compiler for Informix 4GL and/or ESQL/C? I'm running SVR4 (Unixware) and could use a pointer to two to get things to work together ... I4GL sees too many libraries during compile (it finds duplicate commands in the Unix SVR4 libraries and the UCB libraries (I have the UCB compatibility option installed on my system), so all compile attempts through I4GL fail ... *Sniff.* Halp!
