It checks Standard Engine indexes and can repair them if corrupted
(allegedly!)

Yes, but not with OnLine - you get a tbcheck/oncheck with OnLine.

If you're trying to force a lock to drop, kill the front-end. If all
else fails, bring the database down using onmonitor (even just to Quiescent mode).
Do not *EVER* kill an oninit process.
