Helmut We had this same problem some time back with the SET DEBUG TO for Stored = Procedures. Only user informix could create one. As per the advice of = Informix tech support we reinstalled the software (Informix) and the = problem went away. If I run a "set explain on" by any user other than informix, I get the error messages: 534: Cannot open EXPLAIN file 1: NOT OWNER It is ok if I launch it by user informix. The access rights on the current directory are ok (everybody may read/write). The configuration is: Informix Online Dynamic Server 7.23.UC1 AIX 4.2.1.0 Is there anybody who could give me a hint?
